Blake Shelton is the next country artist to announce a drive-in concert series, adding his name to box office lineups on July 25.

Set to appear on big screens with his pop-star girlfriend, Gwen Stefani, and frequent tour mate, Trace Adkins, Shelton will follow in the footsteps of Garth Brooks’ recent Drive-In Concert Experience. Shelton’s concert is being produced by the same team which brought Brooks’ show to fans in June, and the new event will have much in common with the original. It’s the kickoff to a whole Encore Drive In Nights series, and more shows with other artists are expected to be announced in the future.

Like the Brooks concert, Shelton’s event will once again be a pre-taped performance which will be shown at theaters across the U.S. and Canada for one night only, but it will differ with the addition of exclusive interviews and storytelling — and presumably duets from Shelton and Stefani on their recent Number One, “Nobody But You,” plus Shelton with Adkins on “Hillbilly Bone.” Tickets will cost $114.99 per vehicle and be limited by the number of seatbelts in each vehicle, with a maximum of six per car, truck or SUV.

“This is such a great way to enjoy music with your family and friends and stay safe,” Shelton said in a press announcement. “I’m excited we’re getting the chance to perform a concert for fans and we’re going to go back and play old hits like ‘Austin,’ newer songs like ‘God’s Country’ and we might even introduce something brand new! So fill up those popcorn tubs and get ready for some country music!”

“After the overwhelming response to Garth Brooks’ drive-in concert feature, we knew we had to launch Encore Drive-In Nights to provide music fans across the USA and Canada the chance to see their favorite artists in a cool new way,” added Encore Live founder and CEO Walter Kinzie. “We can’t wait to bring music’s biggest stars to outdoor movie screens all across North America so that people can get back out there again and safely enjoy engaging in in-person experiences.”

Tickets for Shelton’s drive-in concert go on sale July 14, with more artists and shows expected to be revealed soon. You can find a list of participating theaters here.
