Country music superstar Blake Shelton has locked in his 26th country radio No. 1 and 16th Billboard Hot Country Songs chart-topper with “God’s Country.” The song, which was sent to country radio less than four months ago, is the fastest-rising country single in the past year to reach 1 million track equivalents.

“This is such a powerful song and I’m so proud to be a part of it. When I first heard the song I thought it sounded like a remedy. Like a cure. It just sounds like a missing link in country music for the last 10 or 12 years. It feels like a combination of ‘Ole Red’ and ‘Country Boy Can Survive’ to me, which definitely have a place in country music. Those songs are just rare,” Shelton shared of the No. 1 song.

Elaborating further, Warner Music Nashville recording artist admitted that he still is “shocked and amazed at the power of a song,” one that he “is never prepared for.”

“‘God’s Country’ is an anthem for anybody and everybody who’s proud of where they come from. I’m honored to have been given this song from Devin Dawson, Hardy and Jordan Schmidt who are incredible writers.”

Even with the recent No. 1, fans don’t have to wait to hear a new tune from Shelton. His latest collaboration with country icon and fellow superstar Garth Brooks, “Dive Bar,” is out on country radio right now. The fun, uptempo, feel-good song sits just outside the Top 20 and Top 10 on the Mediabase and Billboard country charts respectively. Both Brooks and Shelton are slated to perform the song live together for the first time at an already sold-out stadium show in Boise, Idaho, on 7/19.

No slowing down is on the horizon for Shelton as he continues to juggle touring, working on his forthcoming eleventh studio album, and filming the next season of The Voice. For tour dates and to keep up with the Blake Shelton, click here.
