Blake Shelton paid fans a little TV time this week, delivering a rich performance of his current single on The Ellen DeGeneres Show. Check out a live rendition of “Minimum Wage” below.

Taking the Ellen stage in jeans a dark colored jacket, the casual-country superstar was backed by his full touring band, and firing on all cylinders. With an acoustic guitar slung over his shoulder, Shelton went for broke on the muscular country anthem, singing about the priceless value of romance with conviction — and prepping for a return to the road.

“You can make a six pack on the carpet, taste like a million dollar bill / You can make a one bedroom apartment, feel like a house up on the hill / You can make my truck out in the driveway, roll like a cleaned up Cadillac / Girl, lookin’ at you, lookin’ at me that way, can make a man feel rich on minimum wage,” goes the chorus.

Part of his recently released Body Language album, the track arrived in January and is now rising through the Top 10 on Billboard’s Country Airplay chart, which measures national radio spins. Blake Shelton hit Number One on that chart with his last two singles, sending both duets with his fiancee, Gwen Stefani (“Nobody but You” and “Happy Anywhere”), to the top position.
