TV and radio personality Bobby Bones offers up some solid shopping advice in his new comedy song, releasing “The Target Song” with his quirky duo, Bobby Bones & the Raging Idiots.

A clever, chuckle-inducing tune dedicated to one of America’s favorite retailers — and the unwritten rule every shopper should know — “The Target Song” was co-written by Bones and hit maker Jim Beavers. The live-recorded track starts with a simple acoustic guitar-and-piano setup, and then finds Bones and band mate Eddie Garcia delivering a colorful punch line … all about how there are some things you just don’t do.

“Don’t go shopping at Target / With khaki pants and a red shirt on,” goes the fun-loving chorus.

“The Target Song” marks the first release from an upcoming live comedy album and follows the recent EP, Live In Boston, a set which included autobiographical hits like “Hobby Lobby Bobby” and more. Bones is the host of the nationally syndicated The Bobby Bones Show, as well as an in-house mentor on the upcoming season of American Idol and a former winner of Dancing With the Stars.
