Brett Young And Wife Excited For First Christmas With New Baby
They'll always remember this first Christmas!
This Christmas will be a little different for Brett Young and his wife Taylor, as it will be their first Christmas since welcoming their new baby girl, Presley Elizabeth, in October. Young says he’s looking forward to the tables turning this Christmas and being the parent who is giving gifts to his child for the first time ever.
“[It’s] so cool to think about,” Young tells Sounds Like Nashville and other local media. “I said it feels like being on the other side of gift giving for the first time. You grew up, and you start giving gifts to your friends, or people that you date and stuff. But when you first started, you were getting gifts from your parents. And you always, as a little selfish kid, you wake up and you’re getting gifts every Christmas. You’re going to sprint out of your room to slide in front of the tree to see what your name’s on.”
Their daughter will only be a little over a two months old by the time Christmas day comes along, but that’s not stopping Brett and Taylor from making her first Christmas a memorable one — even if she doesn’t remember it.
“She doesn’t know yet, but it still doesn’t matter,” he says. “We’re excited. We’re going to buy her stuff she doesn’t need just because we’re excited about it. I think just to be on the other end of it, and be able to share this with Taylor, who I have such a long story with. We’re both just really excited.”
