Canaan Smith gets back on country fans’ radar today (August 15), unveiling the buzzy high-timing vibes of his brand new single, “Beer Drinkin’ Weather.”

Smith’s first release since 2017 and his debut on the new label started by Florida Georgia Line’s Brian Kelley and Tyler Hubbard (Round Here Records), the sudsy new track is full of cranked-up guitars and bright, ice-cold positivity. It’s meant to be a sure-fire addition to any tailgating playlist, and finds Smith starting a brand new chapter — one that’s about about taking life as it comes.

“I always love a drinkin’ song, and this one here is a double-fister!” shares Smith of the song he wrote with Corey Crowder, Tyler Hubbard and Brian Kelley. “I really like how we approached it musically – just a live band in a room with a whole lotta energy. I hope people crank this song way up and it makes ‘em thirsty for a good time.”

“It’s always beer drinkin’ weather out here / We get it pourin’ like a storm out here / No, there ain’t nothin’ better whenever we’re together / It’s beer drinking weather out here,” goes the addictive chorus.

“Beer Drinkin’ Weather” was also co-produced by Smith with his FGL pals, and he’s currently opening shows for them on the Can’t Say I Ain’t Country Tour alongside Dan + Shay, Morgan Wallen and HARDY. That run continues through September 28 in Irvine, California, and more new music is said to be on the way. Smith last topped radio charts in 2014 with his Platinum-certified breakout, “Love You Like That.”
