Carrie Underwood teams up with NEEDTOBREATHE for a blast of reflective rock romance on the new track “I Wanna Remember,” and joins in for the song’s official video, too.

A inspiring-but-relaxed arena rock anthem with soaring vocals to match its soaring emotion, “I Wanna Remember” finds the band reminiscing on a romantic high water mark, with Underwood adding a feminine perspective. Reprising a connection Underwood made with NEEDTOBREATHE front man Bear Rinehart on her recent gospel album, My Savior, it’s a collaboration dedicated to a high-voltage connection — one that both artists say has parallels in real life.

“‘I Wanna Remember’ is a nostalgic track and takes you back to the moments you never want to forget. We all came from small towns, and those roots have cemented into the fabric of the band and our music,” NEEDTOBREATHE share. “Bear worked with Carrie on some of her recent projects, and we felt like her small town roots and humble beginnings were the perfect addition to this song. As soon as we got into the studio, we felt a connection with her as if she was a long time member of the band. Having someone with her talent and spirit sing on the song is an absolute honor for us.”

“I have been a huge fan of NEEDTOBREATHE forever and I was so honored when the stars aligned and Bear agreed to lend his incredible vocals to a song on my recent gospel album,” adds Underwood. “Needless to say, I was thrilled when he and the band invited me to be a part of their new project. I love the song and have had the best time getting to know and sing with these amazingly talented guys.”

Meanwhile, a video shot in Music City pairs performance footage with shots of a head-over-heels couple, lost in the ecstasy of a Nashville night on the town.

“I Wanna Remember” will soon be part NEEDTOBREATHE’s forthcoming studio album, Into The Mystery, which is set to arrive on July 30. This Fall, the band will embark on their nation-spanning Into The Mystery Tour, and Carrie Underwood has recently unveiled some live-performance news of her own. The country superstar will begin her first-ever residency, REFLECTION: The Las Vegas Residency, at The Theatre at Resorts World Las Vegas on December 1.
