It was the moment we were all waiting for. Brad Paisley has once again helped to reveal the gender of Carrie Underwood’s baby. After some nagging, Paisley was able to pry the news out of the “Cry Pretty” singer, who announced her pregnancy earlier this year.
“Hey, you remember last time when I accidently revealed the gender of your baby?” Paisley asked during the opening monologue. “Tonight we’re going to reveal something even better — the father!”
With an eye roll from Underwood the cameras then panned to her husband, Mike Fisher, who was seated in the audience at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena. While Underwood said she doesn’t know who else the father would be, Paisley continued trying to get Underwood to slip on the gender of her second child.
“Come on. Is it a Johnny or June? Keith or Nicole? Tim or Faith? Waylon or Willie?”
“That doesn’t even make sense!” Underwood interjected.
“Come on we all want to know,” Paisley persisted.
Underwood had enough of Paisley’s tormenting and finally spilled the beans.
“Oh my gosh. Willie, it’s a Willie!” Underwood announced.
But was she serious? The duo–both of whom were wearing pink–sure played it straight. And Paisley’s Twitter seems to indicate that Underwood is, in fact, expecting a boy.
