Carrie Underwood Takes Fans Behind the Scenes Of ‘Heartbeat’

Superstar Carrie Underwood recently released the stunning music video for her latest single, “Heartbeat.” The Randee St. Nicholas-directed clip features a shoe-less Underwood walking through the woods at dusk.

In a recently-released video, Underwood opens up about the song and music video and gives fans a look at the making of the video.

“We really wanted to just make it an extension of the song,” the seven-time GRAMMY winner says in the clip. “The things that you should imagine while you’re listening to the song, we wanted to kind of bring those to life.”

As for the song itself, it’s one of the few love songs she’s ever recorded. She explains why in the video. “I really don’t do a whole lot of love songs. Either, I have to really believe them, or it has to really be my story,” she shares. “In my relationship with my husband, Mike, we’re both so busy, always going places and being at events, and dressing up for some reason, other than like a date night. It’s a good reminder for me. Sometimes you just have to make things simpler and just escape all the noise. There’s definitely a lot of us in there.”
