Chris Janson enlists some famous friends and heroes in his latest music video, calling in a few favors to showcase simple-life wisdom in “Cold Beer Truth.”

A breezy example of backwoods pride, and tribute to the ideals of country living, the track is upbeat and quick on its feet. It’s also got a warm, friendly feel to it, and video director David Bradley helped Janson capture the welcoming vibe. Filmed mostly in an old country store, Janson plays card and chats with guests who include Kid Rock; fishing legend Bill Dance; the founder of Bass Pro Shops, Johnny Morris; and even NASCAR team owner Richard Childress, who tributes his longtime driver and racing legend Dale Earnhardt.

“The ‘Cold Beer Truth’ video includes some of my best friends, heroes and mentors,” Janson said. “It was important to me to highlight those relationships. When I think cold beer truth conversations, I think fishing and being in the outdoors with family and friends. When I think of NASCAR, I think Dale Earnhardt. This video pays tribute to all the good buddies out there in America who have made some great memories while sharing some cold beer truth.”

“Love is life, time flies / ‘Bama can’t help but roll damn tide / Dirt is gold, don’t ever sell / NASCAR ain’t been the same since we lost Dale / Everything’s better down a old dirt road / It ain’t a day off without a old Zebco / And a Coleman cooler to reach into / That’s just the cold beer truth,” goes the song.

“Cold Beer Truth” is the third track released from the upcoming fourth album from Chris Janson, All In. The “Buy Me a Boat” hit maker previously shared the tear-jerking single, “Bye Mom,” and just recently dropped the deeply personal romance anthem, “All In,” alongside a video packed with family photos and home movie footage.

Janson is currently out on his Halfway to Crazy Tour, which features nearly 20 dates in auditoriums, theaters and, for the first time, arenas, with special guests Ray Fulcher and Shane Profitt.
