Chris Young and Kane Brown bring their buddy-country duet to life with a new music video, teaming up on the set of “Famous Friends.”

Featuring a stunning rooftop performance overlooking Music City, plus a cast of small town celebrities walking a rural red carpet, the fun-filled video was released on Friday (March 26) — and Young calls it the best possible representation of the song. Directed by Peter Zavadil/Tiny Terror Productions, it even enlisted some of the actual friends named off in uptempo song.

“I can’t imagine a more perfect video for ‘Famous Friends’” Young said. “Peter knocked it out of the park on this one! I had a blast seeing my friends on set, and that rooftop performance with Kane is some of the most fun I’ve had in a video.”

“Famous Friends” was co-written by Young with Cary Barlowe and Corey Crowder, and features references to both his hometown county in Tennessee (Rutherford) and Brown’s (Hamilton), plus the feel of a comfortable country-rock anthem.

“I’ve got some famous friends you’ve probably never heard of / Back in Rutherford County our crowd is second to none / You might not know ‘em here in this big city we’re in / But when I go back home I’ve got some famous friends,” goes the chorus.

Chris Young and Kane Brown also appear together on 2017’s “Setting the Night On Fire,” and they shared the stage during Young’s 2018 Losing Sleep Tour. “Famous Friends” is now inside country radio’s Top 25, and Brown is up for two trophies at the upcoming ACM Awards.
