Chris Young made his final show of 2019 special for one remarkable fan in Lexington, Kentucky, serenading the cancer patient in front a packed arena of fans.

Taking place during the last stop of Young’s Raised On Country World Tour, the heartwarming moment was captured on film with Young jumping off stage and joining a fan who had just undergone chemotherapy. With the audience screaming all around them, Young gave the shocked woman a big hug and held up the sign that grabbed his attention — and then launched into the final chorus of his aspirational “Who I Am With You,” all about a love so transformative it literally makes you a better person.

“The sign said ‘chemo yesterday, Chris young today,'” Young wrote on social media, putting his song’s theme into practice. “‬So I went out in the audience to finish this one.”

Young released the Platinum certified “Who I Am With You” back in 2014, taking it all the way to No.2 on Billboard’s Country Airplay radio chart. His current single is the devastating ballad, “Drowning,” which he co-wrote with Josh Hoge and Jason Coole in memory of lost loved ones and the waves of grief that still roll in, even years later.

Young’s headlining Raised On Country World Tour started May 5 in the U.K. and hit three countries in total, covering 35 states across the nation with special guests Chris Janson, Eli Young Band, Dylan Scott, LOCASH, Jimmie Allen and Matt Stell on various dates.
