Country hitmakers Cole Swindell and HARDY seek out a little honky-tonk medication in their all-star collab, “Down to the Bar,” playing wingman on a night with one objective.

Another track off Swindell’s upcoming Stereotype album (out April 8), “Down to the Bar” follows up Swindell’s 10th Number One “Single Saturday Night,” and his current chart riser, “Never Say Never (with Lainey Wilson).” Co-written by Swindell with HARDY, Jordan Schmidt and Josh Thompson, it’s a string bending barstool rocker all about going on a bender of your own, and drowning a broken heart in whiskey and beer.

With pounding drums serving as the soundtrack to pounding shots, the two singers go round-for-round in the song’s verses, and then split the tab on it’s chorus.

“Well, take my broke heart down to the bar / Down, down to the bar, yeah, down to the bar / Let me get to grievin’, baby, I’ll even / Throw your bag in the trunk / There’s a somewhere new where the night made you / That you gettin’ off to, but before you do / Take my broke heart down to the bar / Down to the bar to get drunk,” goes the hook.

Elsewhere, Swindell has also released “Some Habits” and “I’m Gonna Let Her” from Stereotype, which was produced by Zach Crowell, Chris LaCorte, Schmidt and Carter and features Swindell as a co-writer on seven of 13 songs. He launched his headlining Down To The Bar Tour with Travis Denning and Ashley Cook last month.

HARDY is currently riding high, as well, earning the ACM award for Songwriter of the Year at Monday’s (March 7) 57th annual ceremony. The Mississippi native co-wrote hits by Morgan Wallen, Blake Shelton and more in the year previous, and also got engaged.
