Country Stars Still Thrilled Over ACM Nominations

Weeks can pass and days fly by, but the country music stars nominated for ACM Awards are still trying to wrap their heads around the idea that they are even on the ballots.

Many of the artists took immediately to their social media accounts when the 51st Annual Academy of Country Music Awards Nominations came out to thank the fans and the academy for all of the support. Still reflecting on the impact of the nominations, some stars have continued to show their gratitude since hearing about the news.

Maddie Marlow from Maddie & Tae said that they feel as though the nominations have, “kinda proven to us that the industry really has embraced us,” and could not be more excited for the show.

Thomas Rhett, who is up for three awards including Album of the Year, didn’t even think he would up for anything, let alone multiple categories.

“They just mean the world to me. It’s an honor to know that the people in the industry think that those things are worth being in those categories,” said Rhett.

A Thousand Horses thanks the country community for making them feel welcome in the genre and embracing the music they make for the fans with their nomination in the New Vocal Duo/Group category.

Even CAM plans on raising the Vegas stakes against everyone in attendance—but not within her nominated categories.

“It’s really shocking, and crazy, and awesome. And I’m gonna have the best night in Vegas. I assure you, I am gonna for sure out fun every single person there,” she said in a press release.

Check out who wins the awards at the 51st Annual Academy of Country Music Awards on Sunday, April 3 live from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas at 8 p.m. EST on CBS.
