Dierks Bentley cracks a few cold ones with his new single, “Beers On Me,” letting the stress and worry of a crazy time wash away. But thanks to buddies like HARDY and Breland, he doesn’t have to drink alone.

Featuring a satisfying country-roots sound of a barstool ballad, with twangy guitars and Bentley’s relaxed, happy-hour vocal styling, the track finds Bentley promising to pick up the tab for a much-needed night out. With boozy lyrics and a woozy sway, the trio leave their troubles at the door and each take a round — and it all adds up to a slow brewed good time. After Bentley started the song in Colorado, his two drinking buddies helped finish it back in Music City, and Bentley says that gives it an extra kick.

“HARDY threw out this title and I remember immediately thinking, ‘I wish I could buy all my fans a beer.’ After the year we’ve all had, it would be nice to get the first round and say, ‘Hey, we all got some problems but we’re going to forget about them for a little while … the beers are on me,’” Bentley said. “I came back to Nashville to record the song and came across an article about Breland in the Nashville Scene. I got his number and he came in the next day and wrote and sang the third verse. It was truly an organic collaboration and I couldn’t be more proud to have him and HARDY on this song with me.”

“Come on down / Swing on by / Bring whatever’s been on your mind / Locals on tap / And bottles on ice / Livin’ on feel good standard time / My card’s on the bar / You’ve got nowhere to be / If you don’t come through / Buddy, that’s on you / ‘Cause the beer’s on me,” goes the chorus.

Out today (July 29), “Beers On Me” serves as the follow up to another Number One hit from Dierks Bentley, after “Gone” topped the country radio charts. It also lends its name to Bentley’s upcoming summer concert trek, with the Beers On Me Tour kicking off August 13 in Salt Lake City, Utah, featuring special guests Riley Green and Parker McCollum.
