Dierks Bentley returned to the stage for the first time since the COVID-19 pandemic began on Tuesday night (May 11), and the country hit maker got right back to his old ways.

Sharing a clip from first night of his High Times & Hangovers club tour comeback, Bentley looked just as grateful to be back as the fans packed into the Windjammer in Isle of Palms, South Carolina. And they were in for a treat — the debut of Bentley’s new song, “Beers On Me.”

First teased with the announcement of Bentley’s upcoming summer tour — the Beers On Me Tour — a snippet of Bentley’s new track revealed it to be anthemic midtempo tribute to good times, but we’ll have to wait to hear the whole thing.

In the meantime, the video found Bentley taking its title literally. He climbed down off the stage and up onto a security barrier, where he passed out cold cans to screaming fans with big smiles.

“First show back…felt right at home at @windjammeriop,” Bentley wrote on social media, noting that the new track was co-penned by Michael Hardy, Luke Dick, Ross Copperman, Ashley Gorley and Breland.

Looking ahead, Dierks Bentley will continue his High Times & Hangovers Tour, hitting small clubs every night through May 15 in Knoxville, Tennessee. After that he should be back in the swing of things, and his Beers On Me summer tour is slated to begin August 13 with Riley Green and Parker McCollum. Bentley’s current single is “Gone.”
