Drake White’s ‘Livin’ The Dream’ Music Video is A Family Affair
“I loved being able to spend the day with my partners in crime – Alex and Writer,” said Drake.
It’s a family affair for Drake White in his new music video for “Livin’ The Dream.”
Filmed at a farm outside of Nashville, TN, the clip features White’s wife Alex and their four-legged pup, Writer.
“I loved being able to spend the day with my partners in crime – Alex and Writer,” said Drake. “We love spending time together outdoors, so I couldn’t have asked for a more perfect shoot or example of ‘Livin’ the Dream.’”
“It was such a pleasure to be part of this shoot with Drake and bringing ‘Livin’ The Dream’ to life,” shared the video’s director, PR Brown. “I really think his fans are going to get a kick out of it because it’s a bit different than your typical music video.”
“Livin’ The Dream” was written by Jaren Johnston (of The Cadillac Three), Luke Laird and Tom Douglas. It immediately stood out to White from the moment he heard it and he couldn’t wait to put his spin on the track.
“I started listening to what Jaren was saying, what he was singing and I was like ‘Wow,’” he told Sounds Like Nashville. “It was one of the first times in my life I can actually see myself putting my stamp and making this a Drake White song on this tune. ‘Cause I say that all the time. Everybody’s always like, ‘What’s going on, Drake?’ And I’m always like, “Livin’ the dream.” And everybody does that, living the dream and just hanging out.”

“Livin’ The Dream” is currently at country radio. White will perform the song on NBC’s TODAY show on April 18.
Fans can catch him on the road this summer as part of Zac Brown Band’s 2016Black Out The Sun Tour, kicking off May 19 in Hartford, CT at the XFINITY Theatre.
