Country singer/songwriter Drew Baldridge has released a brand new single, “Middle Of Nowhere Kids.” The tune aptly paints a picture of what life growing up was like for him.

After listening to the song for the first time, Baldridge knew he had to be the one to cut it. The track resonated very personally with him, as someone who grew up where the population tops out at 582. “I chose this song because it hits so close to home for me. This song is very reminiscent of my life and everything I stand for.”

Hitmakers Randy Montana (Riley Green, Cody Johnson), John Pierce (Reba, Chris Young) and Tony Lane (Luke Bryan, Cody Johnson) were the individuals who penned the song, one that Baldridge feels allows listeners to connect on a deeper level with his childhood and past; things and situations that made him who he is today. As the Patoka, Illinois native shares, “I was that ‘Middle Of Nowhere Kid’ riding a tractor and dreaming of what it would be like to hear my music on the radio one day. Now the world gets to hear my story. I’m proud to be a ‘Middle Of Nowhere Kid.’”

And prior to its official add date on radio, the song is already generating buzz and praises among radio executives, which is an optimistic sign for Baldridge as he sends his song to be played to the masses across the airwaves.

“Middle Of Nowhere Kid” hits country radio July 29, and is available for download on all digital music platforms now.
