Most artists take an awards show appearance and play their big song of the moment. But Eric Church went a different route at the 57th annual ACM Awards, delivering a whole concert set list in three minutes.

Standing steady as a redwood on the massive Allegiant Stadium, Church offered fans samples from his entire career, starting from the beginning. No fewer than 16 songs made the cut, as the hit maker looked over a huge Las Vegas crowd in his signature aviators and rallied a full band.

“How ‘Bout You,” “Guys Like Me,” “I Love Your Love the Most,” and “Smoke a Little Smoke.” “Drink In My Hand,” “Springsteen,” “The Outsiders,” and “Talladega.” Each one got a little love, with Church singing a line or two of the chorus hook. “Give Me Back My Hometown,” “Mr. Misunderstood,” “Round Here Buzz,” “Record Year,” “Desperate Man,” and “Some Of It” followed, plus “Hell of a View” — and then church wrapped up with “Heart on Fire,” featuring a little help from early winner Ashley McBryde. The old adage is that less is more, but sometimes it’s not.

Marking the first time a major country awards show aired exclusively as a live stream, the 57th annual ACM Awards took place on Monday (March 7) at Las Vegas’ Allegiant Stadium. The show featured more than 20 performances and was co-hosted by Dolly Parton with Jimmie Allen and Gabby Barrett, airing only on Amazon Prime Video.
