Eric Ethridge Heads to the U.S. with New Single, ‘Dream Girl’
The Canadian country crooner is ready to make his U.S. debut!
After achieving success in his home country, Canadian country up-and-comer Eric Ethridge aims to make his mark in the U.S. with his brand-new single, “Dream Girl.”
The track, written by Dan Smyers, Shay Mooney, Jenn Schott and Will Weaverly, will serve as the lead single for rising artist’s upcoming second album, which he is currently working on in the studio with GRAMMY-winning producer Brian Howes. A fan of Dan + Shay, Ethridge knew he needed to record “Dream Girl” the moment he heard it.
“For a long time, I’ve been looking for the perfect song to really capture to sound that I wanted to put out into the world, and I really think we brought that vision to life with this one,” the Canadian crooner shared with Sounds Like Nashville. “I’m so grateful to have it on my record!”
The song is a sleek piece of country-pop, complete with finger-snapping verses and smooth harmonies that build up to a soaring, anthemic chorus.
“Sonically, I think we really achieved what we were hoping to on ‘Dream Girl,’” the singer said. “As my first recording under Anthem Records, I wanted this song to hit hard and really show what I can do with my voice. I’m so excited with how it turned out!”
Ethridge will join Gord Bamford on his #Rednek Music Fest tour, which kicks off Feb. 21. Fans can obtain tickets here.
