Country singer-songwriter Eric Paslay has dropped his brand-new song “Heartbeat Higher” and its accompanying music video.

The uptempo head-over-heels love song was penned by Paslay, Sarah Buxton and Zach Crowell. Buxton is also enlisted as a vocal feature, singing and harmonizing alongside Paslay in the chorus.

“I love ‘Heartbeat Higher.’ I’m a romantic guy. Everyone loves a great love song, right??” shared Paslay. “Seriously, I write them all the time but don’t think that my previous singles have really shown this side of me.”

Along with the song’s release was its official music video, which captures Paslay and Buxton recording the track in the studio as well as exclusive footage of the former’s time in Sweden last fall.

“We did have plans to grab some additional footage with Sarah in March right after the C2C tour wrapped, but the back half of that tour got cancelled to keep everyone safe and healthy so it only made sense to cancel filming as well,” the Waco, Texas native explained. “I’m really happy with the video and grateful we captured it before COVID-19.”

This summer, Paslay is slated to tour across the country with more new music on the horizon. Additionally, he will join English country duo The Shires for their United Kingdom tour, launching on October 21 in Bedford, UK.
