Exclusive: Sister C Debuts ‘Drinkin’ Bout You’ in ‘Blue Room Sessions’

Sister C sings about the side effects of mixing heartbreak and alcohol together in their song, “Drinkin’ Bout You,” on their new EP, Demo Sessions Vol. 2.

In an exclusive video debut with Sounds Like Nashville, the girls sing the track as part of their video series, “Blue Room Sessions.” In the song, the sisters coo about how tough it is to get through a breakup and how blocking someone out of sight and out of mind is not as easy as it seems to be.

“We’ve all been through a breakup that, no matter how long it’s been and even if you thought you were over it, you can have moments where you just can’t shake that person,” said the members of Sister C about the inspiration behind the track. “When we wrote ‘Drinkin’ Bout You’ with Matt Alderman, we wanted to describe just that. Whether it’s a couple drinks in at the bar or driving down the road or hearing a song that reminds you of that person, it’s totally normal to just think of an ex – it just happens and we wanted a song people in that moment could relate to. We’re really glad that this song will be on our new EP, Demo Sessions Vol. 2!”

Sister C’s sophomore EP brings together all emotions with a dash of sass. The girls keep their signature relatable lyrics, but strike on with their well-blended vocals and sweet melodies with one another.
