Florida Georgia Line tribute one of the best feelings a country boy (or girl) can experience, cranking up good times with their fun-loving “New Truck.”

Released Friday (January 8) and loaded with lighthearted energy, the bouncy track captures the amazing feeling of climbing into a brand new 4×4. A sampled piano melody and countrified rap vocal stand alongside classic country instruments, but it’s duo member Tyler Hubbard’s high-horsepower flow that steals the show. With a hint of twang and a feel-good energy that recalls hits like “Cruise,” the singer rolls through all the things that make his new truck badass, and always comes back to this windows-down refrain:

“I got a new truck, I got a new ride / I got it ‘suped up, I like it too high / I got a new truck, I got a new ride / Shawty wanna ride shotty when I roll by,” goes the catchy chorus.

“With ‘New Truck’ we were like, ‘Man, this feels good. I just want to ride around in my truck, listen to this, and have a song to jam to,’” Hubbard says of the track. “When any of our buddies get a new truck now, we can send it to them and say, ‘Yo, bump this in the truck!’”

“It feels really different and fresh,” Kelley agrees. “It’s got a fun innocence about it, too.”

“New Truck” was co-written by Hubbard and Kelley with Corey Crowder, Jeff Gitelman, Raysean Hairston, Blake Redferrin, Priscilla Renea. It will appear on the duo’s upcoming fifth studio album, Life Rolls On, which is set to arrive February 12, and Florida Georgia Line has previously released tracks “I Love My Country” and “Long Live” from the project. In related news, Hubbard and country superstar Tim McGraw have announced a duet called “Undivided.”
