Newcomer Gabby Barrett has plans to inject some positivity into a dark time, announcing “The Good Ones” as her next official single.

Written by the rising talent with Emily Landis, Jim McCormick and Zach Kale, the emotional midtempo is all about the little things that make up a perfect man — and it comes straight from Barrett’s real life. Featuring her soaring vocals and epic-feeling instrumentation, the anthemic ballad is dedicated to her husband, fellow American Idol alum Cade Foehner.

“I’m so happy that ‘The Good Ones’ is my next single at Country radio,” Barrett says in a statement. “I wrote this song about my sweet husband – I hope it is as special to you as it is to me, and that you take a moment to appreciate the good ones in your life every time you hear it.”

Barrett first released “The Good Ones” with a heartwarming music video last summer, and it will soon be part of her debut album, Goldmine, which is set for June 19 release. The Pennsylvania native scored a chart topping breakout hit with sinister vibes of her revenge anthem “I Hope” in April, and recently returned to Idol as part of the “We Are the World” collaboration to help raise money for COVID-19 relief with an all-star cast.
