Gary Allan Staying with Universal Group Nashville

Get excited: Gary Allan is staying on the Universal Music Group Nashville after re-signing his contract with the label Thursday.

Allan, who has been a part of the UMG family throughout the entirety of his career, will be taken on by the EMI promotion staff in terms of the re-signing. For twenty years now, Allan has been represented by the country branch of the label and has gained great success throughout his career.

UMG Nashville is thrilled to keep Allan around after establishing a great relationship with the artist for two decades.

“Gary is simply one of the most interesting vocalists and stylists that country music has ever known,” said UMG Nashville Chairman & CEO Mike Dungan. “He is truly a unique artist, and we are honored and thrilled to be able to continue to represent him.”

Allan has been burning up the country charts since his debut album, Used Heart for Sale, debuted in 1996. He’s been known for hits such as “Man to Man,” “Tough Little Boys” and “Nothin’ On But The Radio.” He’s also been critically acclaimed by a variety of sources; most notably, Rolling Stone garnered Allan as “country’s mainstream maverick.”

The country singer will be playing various shows and festivals throughout the summer.
