Grand Ole Opry Releasing New EP Highlighting Discovered Artists

Many know that the Grand Ole Opry holds tight to its traditions. Celebrating its 90th anniversary this year, the iconic country music venue is set to release the second EP of a series in which newly discovered artists are highlighted.

This time around, artists featured on “Opry 9.0, Vol. II: Discoveries from the Circle,” include Lindsay Ell, Chris Janson and Mo Pitney. The track listing is exclusively a set of live songs from the artists’ performances at the Opry to honor the well-known show that has captured the country audience for decades upon decades.

Throughout the year, the artists will all be making special appearances from time to time. They will stop by the Opry shop a time or two to do some in-house promotion meetings, as well as a grand live performance on the EP’s release day, March 8. Pitney and Ell will also follow that up with a live signing on March 25 to help promote the album and spread the love for the Opry itself.

Steve Buchanan, Opry Entertainment President, recognizes the significance that the Opry plays in the careers of upcoming country singers and wants the EP to symbolize the Opry’s constant support of on-the-verge artists.

“As the Opry continues to celebrate nine decades of great country music, we are also focused on the new artists who are shaping the genre’s future,” said Buchanan.

The EP, “Opry 9.0, Vol. II: Discoveries from the Circle,” will be available for purchase starting March 8 at the Opry stores in Nashville, as well as through all major digital streaming or retail services.
