It’s something that everyone wishes for at the end of every year… to have yourself a merry little Christmas. Brett Eldredge recently captured that sentiment when he recorded the song “Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas” for his Glow holiday album and shared it again when he performed the song on CMA Country Christmas.

“‘Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas’ is one of my favorite songs to sing live. It’s one of my favorite songs just in general ever because I find so much magic in Christmas music,” Eldredge told Sounds Like Nashville and other media recently. “I feel like this song has such a wonderful message and I know that not everybody gets to have a merry little Christmas, but when I sing it, I want everybody to have that magic and find that magic in it and that special feeling that it brings every year. So when I’m singing it, I’m hoping that everybody is feeling it and it brings me to tears almost every time I get to sing it. It’s a very special song.”

The song is one of 11 featured on Eldredge’s Christmas album. The project was a dream come true for the crooner, who’s been thrilled to share his love of the holidays with friends, family and fans.

“It’s been a dream of mine to make this album for so long. It’s so weird that it’s here,” he explained. “Now I get to play this album as we’re decorating the Christmas tree. I waited my whole life to play my own Christmas album with my family decorating the tree so I’m excited.”
