Hear Abby Anderson’s Heaven-Sent Single ‘Good Lord’
Raise those hands, y'all!
Country newcomer Abby Anderson says “Amen” to finding a good man in her upbeat new single “Good Lord.”
Co-written by Anderson, Josh Kerr and Jordan Minton, the energetic track is built on spirited pop country sonics. Danceable beats mix with banjos and Anderson’s sparkling vocal, and along the way the 22-year-old Texas native takes listeners to church. Her clever, quick-fire lyrics are all about a one-of-a-kind someone who seems to be heaven sent.
“Every long kiss, every slow dance / Got me raisin’ both my hands / Good Lord, I’ve got a good man / I thank the good Lord, I’ve got a good man,” goes the praise-worthy chorus.
“Good Lord” is available digitally now, and follows Anderson’s spine tingling cover of “Shallow” from A Star Is Born with Jimmie Allen. She was named one of Sounds Like Nashville’s Ones to Watch in 2019, and will open for former Matchbox 20 front man Rob Thomas on his Chip Tooth Smile Tour this summer, along with festival performances at Stagecoach, Tortuga, Country Thunder Arizona, and more.
