Hear Miranda Lambert’s ‘Sweet By and By’ From ‘Southern Family’ Album

“Mama I have not forgotten / Lessons learned under the light of / The Southern starry sky,” Miranda Lambert sings on the track “Sweet By and By.”

The song, featured on the upcoming Southern Family concept album by producer Dave Cobb, is one that pays tribute to family. “I think if you’re from the South, you’re just a little more proud than anybody that’s not,” the Texas native told Rolling Stone of “Sweet By and By.”

Alongside Lambert, the album will feature songs recorded by Zac Brown, Jamey Johnson and Chris Stapleton and his wife Morgane.

“There are some that are deep and slow and brooding,” Cobb told Entertainment Weekly of the songs featured on the upcoming album. “And some that are really powerful and upbeat. People came in and wrote about their grandparents or where they grew up; things that have been there their whole lives or tragic things that happened along the way. It’s alive.”

Fans can pick up a copy of Southern Family on March 18.
