Following their previous single “Your Mama,” Canadian country duo High Valley returned to the scene with another brand-new track, “Grew Up On That.” The song is the title track for the brothers’ upcoming EP, which is slated for a May 8 release.

Ricky Skaggs on the vinyl / King James on the bible / Feet on the dash with ourselves in the back / We grew up on that,” lead vocalist Brad Rempel over a groovy, finger-snapping chorus. The song itself is a smooth piece of twangy pop that serves as an ode to the duo’s upbringing in rural Canada as well as the classic country lifestyle.

“We have spent a lot of time in the past couple of years explaining what we grew up without, having spent our childhoods living in a pretty remote area,” Rempel shared. “This time around, we wanted to let people know more of our story and exactly what we did have – what made us who we are – and what we grew up on.”
