In the spirit of Valentine’s Day, country acapella group Home Free take on the theme of forbidden love in the new video for “Cross That Bridge.”

Directed by Dustin Haney and produced by April Kimbrell, the video follows a couple as they develop a romantic connection regardless of what their parents might think. Reflecting the song’s lyrics, the couple pursues their relationship, seeing family approval as a mere bridge that will be crossed when the time is right.

Though it was difficult to decide which tracks would appear on the group’s latest album, Dive Bar Saints, tenor and vocalist Rob Lundquist said that “Cross That Bridge” almost immediately made the cut when they first heard it.

“It was very hard to narrow down tracks for our latest album because we had so many amazing songwriters in Nashville pitching us their best material… But when we heard this song, it was a unanimous decision to have it on ‘Dive Bar Saints.’ The chorus gets stuck in your head for weeks – and that’s the mark of a great song,” the singer told Sounds Like Nashville of the song co-written by Keelan Donovan and Matthew McVaney. “Plus, when I was playing it at home to see if we needed to make any changes, my daughter would start jumping as soon as the chorus hit. With a reaction like that, I knew we had something special on our hands.”

The showmen will also hit the road later in February on their Dive Bar Saints World Tour, which consist of over 100 shows and hits 16 different countries. Fans can get tickets and more tour details here.
