Vocals-only country group Home Free take a chance on love in the colorful new video for “Why Not,” reminding viewers that good things happen to those who don’t wait.

Directed by The Bolo Brothers and set largely in Nashville’s Chopper tiki bar, the flirty clip follows two strangers who’s lives seem destined to intertwine. The five-piece band narrate the action in crisp, thick harmony while potential romance builds, until eventually one person works up the courage to say hello. All the while, the track’s lush sound will have you questioning just how it’s done without instruments.

“I think there’s an order to the universe,” Home Free’s Adam Chance tells Sounds Like Nashville. “What’s meant to be is going to happen, regardless. And let’s be honest, the best stories always begin with a ‘Why Not’ moment – ‘Why Not’ give the girl across the bar your number? ‘Why Not’ move to a new city for a fresh start? ‘Why Not’ quit your day job and join an a cappella group? – Sometimes you just have to go for it because you’ll never know what could be if you don’t.”

Written by Jeffrey Joseph East and Patrick Dodge, “Why Not” is part of the band’s recent album, Dive Bar Saints. The group are currently on their Dive Bar Saints World Tour, with more than 100 dates set in 16 countries around the globe through October.
