Up-and-coming country group Hudson Valley is gearing up to release their feel-good anthem, “Right Place Now.”

Hudson Valley is a rockin’ female-lead country band composed of lead singer Sarah Owens, guitarist Matthew Farinelli, bassist Andrew Kosek, and drummer Richie Owens. The country quartet have been paving their way as a Music City mainstay, having played in multiple famed live music venues like The Bluebird Cafe, 3rd and Lindsey, Blake Shelton’s Ole Red and night hotspot Whiskey Jam.

Their latest release, “Right Place Now,” is a groovy and euphoric tune that celebrates coincidental romance and the beauty of it. Penned by Owens, Sherrie Austin and Will Rambeaux, the song will take country fans back to the nostalgia of late 2000’s country-pop, comparable to the likes of Gloriana, the JaneDear Girls, Bombshel, Eden’s Edge and other notable groups from that era.

I’ve been in the wrong arms on the right night / Underneath the wrong moon in the right sky / I’ve kissed the right lip at the wrong time / I’ve kissed the right lips at the wrong time,” a love-struck Owens sings on the rollicking chorus, before proudly proclaiming, “I know I’m in the right, know I’m in the right place now.”

“‘Right Place Now’ was written the first time I had ever been to Nashville,” Owens tells Sounds Like Nashville. “My parents came down from NY with me and we had always wanted to go to the Grand Ole Opry, so my mom got tickets for us to see Vince Gill and Darius Rucker perform while I was in town to write. When we left the Opry, my parents said something about me ‘finally being in the right place’ and I wrote this song with Sherrie Austin and Will Rambeaux the next morning.”

She added, “As I was writing it, it turned into a love song about my husband, but it’s rooted in my love for Nashville because it’s the place I felt that I always needed to be. I cannot wait for everyone to hear this song; we are all really proud of it!”

“Right Place Now” is Hudson Valley’s first release of the year, and follows their 2019 EP Seven, which debuted at No. 17 on the iTunes Country Album Chart. The seven-track project included the song “Unmistakable Signs of a Bad Boyfriend,” which currently sits in the Top 50 of the Music Row Country Breakout Chart.
