After summer has faded away, Indigo Summer is bringing back the reflection of a sweet love in the music video for their current single, “Something You Miss.”

Focusing in on a blossoming relationship during the warmer months, the video captures all of the best moments of falling in love from the outdoor adventures to the countryside road trips next to the one you love.

But just as the song plays out, the love starts to cool down in time with the change of the seasons and the spark that once was there seems to burn out between the two. While neither of them can fully let go of the romance they now refer to as in the past, they both remain distant from the idea that they will get back together for good.

Despite its lighthearted sound, Indigo Summer wrote and created “Something You Miss” after becoming inspired by a breakup. While it’s not the typical bitter breakup ballad, it still tugs at the heartstrings just enough to channel those emotions.

“I had this title after going through a breakup and we sat down,” Hope Nix of the country duo explained. “We sat on the floor, which it was just a total casual thing, and we sat down and wrote this in…it just flew out of us. It’s just really about going through a breakup and you’re trying to get over the person and you’re trying to be. You want to do all these things to make them jealous and whatever, but you can’t do that if you really still love someone. You really just want the best. It’s just talking about how you don’t know how to be broken up with them. It’s not something that you can grasp or learn to grasp.”
