Country singer-songwriter Ingrid Andress has claimed her first ever No. 1 on country radio with her debut single, “More Hearts Than Mine.” The GOLD-certified song reached the top spot on the Mediabase Country Aircheck this week, and marked history as the first time two debut singles from solo female artists have reached No. 1 in back-to-back weeks. Gabby Barrett’s “I Hope” was top song last week.

“Thank you country radio for your support and for embracing me and this song so readily. This is extra special because it’s a song about my family, who I love so much and who have been my #1 fans from the beginning.” Andress shared. The singer had penned this song together with Sam Ellis and Derrick Southerland.

“I’m beyond happy it has resonated with so many people, because that’s the whole beauty of country music; real stories that are told about real people living in this country. It’s an honor to tell those stories as so many legends have done before me.”

Proving quickly to be one of country music’s fastest-rising newcomers, the Warner Music Nashville/Atlantic recording artist recently performed her heart-wrenching ballad on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert.

“More Hearts Than Mine” is off Andress’ debut record, Lady Like. The eight-track album, which dropped last month, also made history as the highest streaming debut record by a female country artist.
