Jacob Bryant proves himself an outlaw with a heart of gold in the new track, “Can’t Say No to You,” mixing a muscular sound with sweetheart sentiment.

Matching the Georgia native’s deep baritone with a hard-charging country-rock vibe and a theme of commitment, the recently-married husband and new father shows off his tender side. For the last few year’s been building a loyal audience on the back of dark, tough-talking grit, but “Can’t Say No to You” finds him celebrating a good woman’s love. Meanwhile, a music video directed by Dustin Haney brings the track to life — a heart flying high, even with two feet on the ground.

“My wife is definitely the inspiration behind ‘Can’t Say No To You,’” Bryant tells Sounds Like Nashville. “I went into the session with [co-writers] Carson [Chamberlain] and Wyatt [McCubbin] knowing that I wanted to write an upbeat love song that also had some edge and swagger to it. We all have someone that we just can’t say no to — they give us a look and that’s a wrap! For me, that’s my wife.”

“You and your sweet smile, are always on my mind / And them green eyes. are saying ‘Stay a while’ / Happens every time / No, I can’t say no to you,” goes the chorus.

“Can’t Say No to You” is the first taste of new music following Bryant’s iTunes chart topping Practice What I Preach album in 2019, and he continues to write more new music as the COVID-19 pandemic keeps artists off the road.
