Former Voice champ Jake Hoot celebrates hard-working dads everywhere with a new Father’s Day inspired track, dropping the heartwarming “Best Job I Ever Had.”

Dedicated to his 5-year-old daughter Macy, the jaunty track was co-written by Hoot with Connor Rand and produced by Dave Pahanish and Charles Pevahouse Jr. All about the one job in life that really pays off — despite the long hours and terrible benefits — it harnesses a bouncy rhythm to Hoot’s good-natured vocal, and the rising country artist says it all comes natural.

“Without a doubt, being a dad is the greatest accomplishment I’ve ever had, so writing this song was easy because it resonated so close to home,” he explains.

Directed by Alejandro Medina, a video for the track features candid photos of Hoot and Macy, as well as snapshots of real fans and their children, showcasing the universality of his pride-and-joy-message.

“It was such a special day because my daughter Macy was able to be with me during filming,” Hoot says of shooting the video. “I was also so thankful because last minute we had three families offer for us to use their nurseries which was fun getting to involve other families in this project. I hope people walk away with the message that getting the opportunity to be a dad is one of God’s greatest gifts to us. No matter how hard it may be at times, there really is nothing more special than having the opportunity to raise a child.”

Hoot first found public attention by winning Season 17 of NBC’s The Voice in 2019, and has since set that stage for early career success. Along with his debut single, “Dangerous Thing,” the Tennessee native has also released a charity track titled “Tennessee Strong” to benefit victims of the March 2020 tornadoes which ravaged the state.
