Jason Aldean and Carrie Underwood team up on a stunning new power duet titled “If I Didn’t Love You.” And for the track’s official music video, the country superstars capture its epic elegance.

Directed by Shaun Silva and filmed at Nashville’s Schermerhorn Symphony Center, the two stars belt out their first-ever collab on a stage just as massive as the song’s heartbreak. Surrounded by chandeliers in an empty ballroom, the pair trade tormented lyrics back and forth, always keeping their emotional distance. Written by Aldean’s guitarist and bassist Kurt Allison and Tully Kennedy, alongside Lydia Vaughan and John Morgan, each character in the song is head over heels in love with the other — but that just makes their split more painful.

With Aldean rocking all black and Underwood immaculately dressed to match her surroundings, the superstar pair give their duet an extra layer of country sophistication.

“Carrie was made for this song, but also for this video,” Aldean says of the clip. “I’m glad that she was down to get together to make it … it’s something that turned out a little outside of what I’d normally do, which is always cool.”

The lead single from Aldean’s forthcoming 10th studio album, “If I Didn’t Love You” was first released in July and made the highest debut for a solo male/female duet since the inception of the Billboard Hot Country charts.

Jason Aldean is currently back on the road for his Back In the Saddle Tour, and Carrie Underwood was just nominated for Entertainer of the Year at the upcoming 55th Annual CMA Awards.
