The days of partying until the wee hours of the morning are long gone for Jason Aldean. The singer, who travels with his wife and 9-month-old son Memphis, is always thinking about family first during his time out on the road, and now the soon-to-be-father of four is preparing for the newest addition to his family: Aldean has outfitted his tour bus with two cribs, a far cry from his early touring days.

“It’s got two cribs in the bus, which I never in the early days of my touring career thought I’d ever do that, but it’s different,” the singer shared with media ahead of his performance at the iHeartMusic Festival in Las Vegas on Friday, Sept. 21. “It’s a lot different now than it was the early part of my career. Things are settled down.”

He continued, “I got playpens sitting outside my bus on college football. I’m watching college football and [Memphis] is in the playpen. That was never a thing early on, so it’s cool.”

The change of pace is in full swing as the singer and his wife Brittany prepare for their second child together. The baby, a girl, is expected to arrive in December, near Memphis’ first birthday.

“We’re excited to have them close together in age and I think it’s going to be fun and hopefully they’ll grow up really close and have a built-in best friend,” he explained. “That’s kind of what we were hoping for.”

Aldean will spend more time on his decked out dad bus for the next week as he wraps his massive High Noon Neon Tour, which concludes on September 29 in Irvine, CA.
