Jerrod Niemann Engaged To Longtime Girlfriend, Set To Tie the Knot Later This Year
It’s official – Jerrod Niemann is off the market.
The “Drink To That All Night” singer is engaged to his longtime girlfriend, Morgan. While Niemann is just now speaking about the engagement publicly, the singer actually popped the questions late last year in New Orleans.
So what prompted Niemann to finally ask Morgan to marry him? “No babies. Not that there’s anything wrong with that. Just good, old-fashioned love,” he tells ABC News Radio.
Niemann says he and Morgan’s relationship is a lot like “The Big Easy,” which is why he decided to pop the question there. “It’s a city that has a lot of culture and ain’t scared to have a lot of fun,” he explains. “So, she has the culture. I have the fun. So, we kind of feel like New Orleans together.”
Morgan has been Niemann’s muse for quite some time. She was actually the one who inspired one of Niemann’s biggest hits. “She’s the girl I wrote What Do You Want’ about way back in the day,” he reveals.
The couple plans to tie the knot sometime in 2014.
Next up for Jerrod is the release of his new album, High Noon, on March 25.
