Jerrod Niemann is wrapping up his reflective Lost & Found project with the final song, “A Lifetime Of Dancin’ To Do,” and it is premiering exclusively here on Sounds Like Nashville.

The smouldering ballad finds Niemann reflecting on the highs and lows of a relationship—one that eventually withstands all storms.

“Hold on, I need your loving next to me / Hold on, keep following each other’s lead / I’ll go ahead and say I’m sorry / Cause I’m knowing that I’m probably / Gonna take a wrong step or two / Hold on, while I hold on to you / We got a lifetime of dancin’ to do,” Niemann reflects in the tender yet honest chorus.

“‘A Lifetime Of Dancin’ To Do’ is about getting caught up in a moment with someone you love and never wanting that moment to end. We’ve all been there – and it’s the best feeling,” Niemann shares with Sounds Like Nashville. “I wrote this song with my good buddy, Dan Smalley. It’s funny – every time I write and record a new song, I feel like I learn a little bit more about myself and my music. This one is no exception.”

Following his divorce in February 2019, the singer tapped into his songwriting gift and aching heart to create a collection of songs that capture love, heartbreak and the healing after.

“This song is the final page of Lost & Found, and I feel like it’s the perfect way to cap off this project – a happy ending to a sad beginning,” the Harper, Kansas native says. “I hope anyone going through tough times will listen to this song – and the others from Lost & Found – and find some relief, like I did when I created them.”

Niemann’s brand new tune wraps the string of releases from his heart-rending project. It follows “The Blame,” “It Won’t Be Me,” “Ghost Rider” and “Tequila Kisses.” This collection also marked a creative milestone for Niemann: he helms the producer seat for the first time, and all by himself.

“I’ve worked with not only the greatest producers and musicians in Nashville, but they’re also the best teachers and the coolest people to be around,” says the country star, who launched into the scene with his debut No. 1 single, “Lover, Lover,” in 2010. “Being able to work in the studio with them all these years is what allowed me to take on this project alone.

“I never thought in a million years that I would ever attempt playing all the instruments on a track and produce it on my own – much less doing all of that at home – but I’m so grateful that I did. I’m very proud to have taken that step, and really can’t wait to see what’s next in this new musical chapter.”

Through the curveballs life has thrown him, Niemann has emerged with a renewed sense of optimism and confidence. His advice for those hanging by a thread in the trenches?

“Even at what feels like your lowest points, it will get better, friends! It always does.”
