“Best Shot” hit maker Jimmie Allen creates a country-music fairytale in the video for his new single, “Make Me Want To.” Conceived by Allen and brought to life by director Justin Nolan Key, the clip features a fairy godmother who gifts the singer an actual magic wand – and he uses it to create “a whole new world.”

It’s sure to spark the imagination of country fans and fantasy lovers alike, and Allen says that’s no accident.

“I’m a huge fan of Disney, Harry Potter and ‘The Notebook,’ [and] I wanted to create a video that showcased my love for all three,” Allen explains. “I feel like authenticity is celebrated today more than ever so with this video I really wanted highlight my quirky side.”

That quirky side shines bright with plenty of good-natured humor and fourth-wall-breaking fun. While the track itself is an uptempo romantic romp, propelled forward by Allen’s supple vocal delivery and a this-is-our-moment sentiment, the video twists and turns with a whole different plot. After an old women knocks on his trailer door asking for help, she ends up repaying Allen’s kindness with the wand. Giant new house? Check. Pile of money? Oh yeah. Still going to work at his food service job? For some reason, yes, but that’s where he meets his “princess!”

“I love that the video focuses on the action and the music is in the background,” Allen goes on. “Enjoy Chapter 1! This is the first of a five-part music video collection. Thanks to everyone for going on this journey with me and stay tuned for more!”

“Make Me Want To” was written by Allen with Paul Sikes and Jennifer Denmark and marks the second single from his debut album, Mercury Lane. He’ll take it and his chart-topping “Best Shot” on the road with both Chris Young and Rascal Flatts this summer.
