Emerging country artist Joey Hendricks has released a brand new song, “Hollywood.”

The mid-tempo track finds Hendricks describing a perfect romance whilst comparing the unmistakable qualities of ‘Hollywood’ to it.

All the drugs in Hollywood won’t get me high as you do / New York City lights got nothing on your eyes / All the Arizona stars dancing around a silver moon / They might make me feel alive / But they don’t hold a candle to / What I feel for you,” Hendricks reflects on the chorus.

“‘Hollywood’ is a song about that almost euphoric high you get from being so in love or infatuated with someone. Just how in that moment, nothing can really compare to that feeling,” the Anacortes, Washington native says in a statement. “I wrote it with some of my best friends, Daniel Ross and Michael Whitworth, which makes it that much more meaningful to me.”

Additionally, the cover art for “Hollywood” is of special significance to Hendricks. The canvas painting was actually crafted by the singer’s grandfather over 35 years ago.

“That element definitely adds to the meaningfulness for me. I’ve always loved the painting and thought it looked the way that ‘Hollywood’ sounded, so I’m super excited to have it be the cover and for people to finally hear this song.”

“Hollywood” is the latest release from Hendricks. It follows “Your Or Mine,” his major label debut with Sony Music Nashville. Hendricks was also featured in our Get To Know feature last year. Find out more about his journey HERE, and listen to” Hollywood” below.
