For the second week in a row, Joey + Rory have topped the Billboard country charts with their Hymns album.

Hymns That Are Important to Us, the final album for the country duo, reached the No. 1 spot on the Top Country Albums chart with another 44,060 copies being sold within the past week. The album has remained in the top position since right after Joey Feek passed away after her hard-fought battle with cancer.

The project became a symbol of hope and love for the Feek family. Joey’s dedication to the record was unwavering as she entered stage 4 of her cancer and still wanted to finish out the compilations of hymns to release to the fans. As the world prayed for her recovery, the anticipation for the album quickly increased when the couple officially announced they would release it to the public in February. Joey even lucked out by seeing her beloved album reach No. 1 on the charts before she lost her fight with the disease.

Joey passed away on March 4, in which the whole country community mourned over the loss of such a brave mother and woman. She was privately laid to rest in a small gathering on their family’s farm in Tennessee. Her hometown of Alexandria in Indiana held their own public memorial to honor the country singer’s life and success.
