Jon Pardi delivered a buzzy rendition of his latest single on The Ellen Degeneres Show this week (July 5), uncorking a spirited version of “Tequila Little Time.”

Backed by blasting horns, accordion and a full country band, Pardi poured all the good timing fun he could muster into the TV performance. Full of flirtation and putting his twangy California vocal on blast, the hit maker went shot-for-shot with the cameras, ordering up a swaying barstool anthem for fans at home.

The performance marked Pardi’s first-ever appearance on Ellen, but lately, he’s dealing with a different kind of first. The hit maker just started singing again after completing two weeks of mandatory vocal rest, which put a damper on his return to summer touring.

“For the first time in my life I have been ordered by the doctor to go on vocal rest and it is NOT EASY!!!,” the Heartache Medication singer shared. “We really appreciate the support and understanding. I promise to do my part and stay as healthy as possible to continue singing and performing.”

Jon Pardi blew out his voice after getting back onstage following a year without many shows, but is now back on the road in full force. He’s shared photo and video content from a weekend of massive concerts — including an appearance at the Big Country Bash in Iowa. He’s also featured as a duet partner on Lauren Alaina’s “Getting Over Him,” and joined Chris Stapleton and others to take part in a surprising tribute to hard-rock icons Metallica on the new album, The Metallica Blacklist.
