Jon Pardi Orders Up ‘Tequila Little Time’ as Next Single

Jon Pardi has lined up “Tequila Little Time” as his next single, dropping a South-of-the-Border jam on country fans this week (January 4).

Co-written by the twangy hit maker with Rhett Akins and Luke Laird, the boozy anthem is made to inspire good memories just like its party-starting subject — even if they are a little hazy. Featuring mariachi horns and shuffling honky tonk beat, Pardi sings of a romance that goes best with a wedge of lime, and the track arrives as his career momentum continues to build with a series of hits at country radio.

“I feel like this goes great on a boat, a lake or pool and just any kind of atmosphere of having a good time,” Pardi says in a statement about the track. “It’s about picking up a girl that’s down and maybe, maybe we want to do a shot of tequila? There’s no answer, but maybe. She starts feeling better, and it’s fun. It’s just a fun song.”

“Tequila Little Time” is part of Pardi’s third album, Heartache Medication, and marks the third single from that acclaimed LP. It follows the Platinum certified Number One of a title track, and Pardi’s Billboard Country Airplay Top 5 follow up, “Ain’t Always the Cowboy.” And in a post wrapping up a year that included bright spots in his November marriage to new-wife, Summer, and a reality show on CMT, Jon Pardi says he’s looking forward to what 2021 may hold.
