Broken Bow artist Jordan Rager has now been initiated into the country music industry after making his debut at the Grand Ole Opry on April 9.

Rager made his first mark on the iconic stage by playing back-to-back shows last Saturday night. Like many newcomers to the genre, Rager had been looking forward to that night for years and years.

“Playing the Opry is something I’ve dreamed about for as long as I can remember and on April 9th I was able to live that dream,” he said. “A lot of things went into making that night special for me, but more than anything I’m so happy my family and friends were able to be there and see me play a song on the Opry stage that I had written.”

Playing both his current single, “Southern Boy,” and the emotional track, “We Still Do,” Rager added his own flair to the lineup, featuring Eric Church and Phil Vassar. Keeping it all in the family, Rager’s uncle, who has worked with Opry member Connie Smith, played drums for his performances.

Rager’s latest hit, “Southern Boy,” features guest vocals from Broken Bow label mate Jason Aldean. Rager is out on the road, promoting the song as it climbs the Country Top 40 charts.
