Josh Abbott Band is ringing in the new year early with the brand new music video for their latest hit, “Wasn’t That Drunk,” featuring Carly Pearce.

The song, written by Emily Weisband, Neil Medley and Matthew McGinn, follows the transition from friendship into romance.

“I haven’t heard a song about two friends lowering their guard and getting physical and it ended up being this great start to a relationship,” Abbott told Sounds Like Nashville of the track. “A song like that in my mind hasn’t happened in a while in country music and it’s really hard to find a song that the thesis of it hasn’t been overdone to country radio. I really loved that.”

“Wasn’t That Drunk” is the second single from Texas band’s latest album, Front Row Seat. The band will continue to tour the rest of the year, including making their national television performance debut on Jimmy Kimmel Live on May 31 on ABC.
