Kane Brown doesn’t need much help being “cool” these days, but he’s takes the assist from hip-hop favorite Nelly on a remixed version of the current single, “Cool Again.”

Adding a flowing rap verse and background vocals to Brown’s grooving original track, “Cool Again (featuring Nelly)” adds just a hint of something extra — without completely reinventing what’s already a hit in the making. Then, through a product-placement filled tropical video, the stars bring their own “cool” factor to life. Jet skis, designer sunglasses and vodka feature just as prominently as Nelly himself, as a dream land of white sand and palm trees appear after Brown washes up on an island, shipwreck style.

“‘Cause I just wanna be cool again, cool again, cool again / Like we were last summer / Want you again, you again, you again / To be stealin’ my covers / All tangled in each other, nights still playin’ back in my head / I just wanna be cool again, cool again, cool again,” goes the harmonized hook.

The slide-guitar laced “Cool Again” hit country radio on April 23, and is now inside the Top 10 on Billboard’s Country Airplay chart. Meanwhile, Brown has also released the unifying anthem “Worldwide Beautiful” in the wake of COVID-19’s spread, and the genre-busting “Be Like That” with Khalid and Swae Lee.
