Kane Brown offers a hopeful prediction of the future in the official video for “Worldwide Beautiful,” betting that a new generation will do things differently.
Directed by Alex Alvga and full of symbolism, the transformative clip brings Brown’s diversity anthem to life in thought-provoking style. It stars a cast of children who are left to make the best of a nearly-devastated world. But despite the wreckage left behind by their parents — with a small town Main Street looking like a war zone, and adults who seem to ignore it all — there’s still hope. They may not turn out so blind as those who almost destroyed their only home, and the earth itself is ready to bloom once more.
In a press statement about the video, Brown’s team notes it mirrors his own experience as a child growing up in troubled circumstances. And it even includes a cameo by Brown’s daughter Kingsley Rose, who makes an appearance at the end.
Kane Brown co-wrote “Worldwide Beautiful” with Shy Carter, Ryan Hurd and Jordan Schmidt, and released it in June as racial-injustice protests picked up steam around he country. The track continues to raise funds for the Boys and Girls Club (BGCA) of America, and the country star performed “Worldwide Beautiful” on the ACM Awards earlier this month.
